New School For The Year

the principal of amir's school informed us that they have reached the maximum number of children for amir's playgroup 3-4 years. therefore they would need to separate children of employees and non-employees. amir would have to move to another school, although still under the same management, next monday.

i was very sad when i heard it. i felt like they turned away my child. i know it is good of them to limit the number of children to a class as the teacher would be able to give enough attention to the students and i understand that they would need to first provide the benefit to employees
since the centre carries the name of the company.

as amir would have to move, i would move asyraf and ariff as well even though the principal didnt ask them to be transferred. i didnt want to separate the boys when i started to send them to school early last year and i dont want to separate them now.

the new daycare is not far from the current school. its just across the big drain, outside the office compound...within a housing area. its in a corner lot house. amir's best friend, hazeq, will be moving as well as his father resigned from the company last month. guess it wont be too bad.

i've told amir he has to move. he's a bit confused and said he doesnt want to go to another school. he insists he wants "cikgu sally". but the teachers are the same teachers who have been minding the children at the boys' current daycare. the pincipal says they move between the two school every few months. most of the teachers stay at the new school on weekends as well.

even though amir has to move, he will still follow the same schedule used in the current school. he is also still involved in the sports day, concert and prize giving day and would still be taking exams with the students from his current playgroup.

we'll see how it goes on monday. i dont know who will be worse off...amir or me?

Hiiii! It's Kaza here, you know who!!! I just finally had the time to come see your blog (from the link in the last email to the mommies group). I love it!!! I've been doing an anonymous one for a short while but may start a family blog soon w/ photos and such.

The boys are so gorgeous, and do look like triplets in some of the photos. You're my hero, getting through life with three when sometimes my one is too much!!!

I so know what you mean that 7 a.m. is a horrific hour to get in the car. I never knew I'd be up so early so often... to think that sleeping until 8 a.m. now feels decadent... ha!

I'll be back soon... love to all of you!
