Raya Celebration
as usual, several Fridays following Raya will be blocked for Raya celebration at the boys' schools.

Hari Raya Break
the boys had a week off from school for Raya. a little too long for the likes of us who celebrate Raya in the city but we welcome the clear traffic.
first day of Raya is always celebrated in Damansara. my family celebrate Raya in a very low-key way. a simple family meal at home after prayers at the BJ mosque, then the 20-minute 'balik kampung' drive to Damansara. we take turns with my aunt in Kajang. we visit her one year, she comes visiting one year.
i took the boys swimming and to the movies the rest of the week, before quietly resting at home while the mass invade the highways back to KL.
